Gardens are the heart of the art of landscape design. Catering for a unique set of needs and reflecting the personality of its owners, gardens require special care in their planning and creation.
John Mongard and Jacqueline Ratcliffe have crafted many gardens. Our approach is to bring out the unique qualities of site, home and family. Practical problems must be solved, and we begin by building the backbone of a landscape for living. We aim to create outdoor rooms which have significance and meaning to their owners.
At "Roosoola" garden, Mango Hill in Queensland, we have assisted the client over a period of twenty years to build the layers of a romantic garden surrounded by an orchard. Each year we design and build a new element. The garden is part of the Open Garden Scheme and is usually open to the public each year. We have built some enduring relationships with our clients and their gardens.
