A whole of town planning process involving three community engagements on the main street. Strategic planning outcomes included building and signage policies and planning for a pedestrian priority centre with reduced 40km/hr speed limits for traffic. Masterplans led to a ten year capital works plan. A kilometre of main street, laneway and the town park improvements were built in a two year process. A major events pavilion and amphitheatre was designed adjacent to a shared zone. Historic precincts including the post office were renewed through heritage grants as part of the town centre urban design process.
